The catalogue below groups Mercury’s main built-in slash commands the way /help groups them. Availability depends on the session’s enabled settings; skills and extensions can add commands. /help and /palette show the live list.

Each function has a single command. /llmhost opens on Which model? to choose a model to rent across Runpod, Vast.ai, Lambda, Hugging Face, Hyperstack, Verda or DigitalOcean, bank weights locally or mirror kept volumes in Bank · your weights, choose your Weights source or Private recipes file, run on your own computer (mercury host), or connect an existing server (see Providers and sign-in). /restart moves this chat onto a newly installed Mercury build, listing the Monitor watches and background shells that will stop, stopping the session's runner before daemon handover, checking the runner's build info first, leaving a current session unchanged, and waiting for any active turn to finish (see Sessions). /mcp inspects MCP servers, starts authentication from the active runner when you press Enter on a needs sign-in row, expands a connected server to open a filterable tools list and per-tool parameter schema view (with Esc stepping back one level at a time), reconnects, or toggles a server for this chat (see MCPs and skills). /daemon halt stops the daemon from the screen, /voice on and /voice off turn on-device Whisper voice dictation on and off (bare /voice or /voice capture starts or stops a take while voice is on; see Voice), /jev or switches Jev to OpenRouter, /appearance accent takes an accent name or hex value, /zen hides both the lanes and vitals rails for a full-width chat (/zen flips it, /zen on and /zen off set it, and the setting persists as view.zen and shows on /config as Zen mode: rails hidden), /browse opens the file browser from the composer in every layout, /keybindings opens your keybindings file (naming the editor it opened, whether it returned at once, failed, or saved the file, with the shipped default file validating clean), /lsp status and /lsp restart [<server>] inspect and restart one language server or the workspace language service (waiting for in-flight initialization, killing the full language-server process tree including children behind Windows .cmd shims, refusing if survivor processes remain, and reporting each server's stop outcome: exited cleanly, exited with code <N>, or killed after <N> s), and the bundled /mercury-docs skill bundles only git-tracked documentation files. An unknown slash command (typed or inside a pasted text chip) shows one notice line and nothing else: it is never sent to the model later and never drawn twice, while // sends a line starting with a slash to the model as text.
/config, /usage, /logins, /effort, /health, /imagesetup and /llmhost open as popups over the chat and close on Esc or a click outside. A skill sent bare, without the argument it needs, prints its usage and starts no turn. /browser drives a browser of Mercury's own, a Chrome for Testing it downloads with your consent or an executable you pin.
/runs opens the runs board; /tasks is an alias. /crewmates opens the Crew view, and /crew opens the crew directory. With Swarm on in /config, /swarm opens Crew chat; /swarm on and /swarm off control enrollment, and /swarm uncap, /swarm cap and /swarm status manage the live wave's context and post-length allowances. /resume, /models and /advisor are aliases for /sessions, /model and /advise. /memory opens the memory centre and /chronicle is its alias; /bug is an alias of /feedback, /checkpoint of /rewind, /settings of /config, /reset and /new of /clear, and /quit of /exit. /export writes the chat to a text file, or to a JSON copy when the name ends in .json, with secrets masked, tool results trimmed and thinking left out.
/jev opens the Jev settings and shows the active TypeSafe or OpenRouter connection, its spend and limits. /jev or on enables OpenRouter access and /jev or off turns Jev off. Jev spend also appears in /usage. /localsetup pulls a GGUF from Hugging Face into the Bank or starts one from the Bank on llama-server, or sets up Ollama and connects to running servers, and /llmhost hosts or connects a model on a rented GPU, your own computer or a running server; see Providers and sign-in. /imagesetup installs the local media runtime, downloads image and video models with SHA-256 checks and pause/resume, sets the default image and video slots, and generates a 256×256 test image; see Local images and video.
/advise on and /advise off control the advisor for this chat. /advise alone reports its state, selected model and interval. /config → Advisor must also be on; see Memory.
Screen-only commands such as /usage, /config, /jev, /localsetup, /imagesetup and /llmhost require an interactive session. In a headless run, Mercury explains that requirement and exits with a failure status.
Copy a reply
/copy puts the last reply on the system
clipboard as the model wrote it, with its line breaks, emoji and right-to-left
text and none of the screen's wrapping or row marks; /copy 2 takes the reply
before it, /copy code the last fenced code block, and ctrl+x y runs /copy
from the composer (with a message focused through shift+up, the same chord
copies that message). The text goes through pbcopy on macOS, clip on
Windows and wl-copy, xclip or xsel on Linux; over SSH, or where none of
those answers, the terminal itself is asked to take it (OSC 52) and the row
says so.

Return pointer control to the terminal
Enter /mouse off so the terminal receives pointer input for native text selection and copying. Mercury saves the choice for later boots, and the Mouse capture row in /config shows the same setting.
